The Irvine Unified School District, the City of Irvine, the Irvine Police Department, Irvine Council of PTAs, parents and students will join forces to champion the Red Ribbon Week theme of “Life is a Movie – Starring Healthy Choices”. (Note: National campaign uses the phrase “Film Drug Free”; however, we have opted to modify the phrase to “Starring Healthy Choices”.)  This year’s National Campaign theme resonates with the District’s dedication to fostering student mental health and well-being. Resources have been distributed to all sites, however, school-specific Red Ribbon Week activities for 2024 may vary. Parents are warmly encouraged to take an active role in empowering students to cultivate the skills and mindset needed to make healthy lifestyles choices throughout their lives.

The intent of observing Red Ribbon Week in Irvine Unified School District is to increase awareness of available education, programs, and services that encourage the full potential of healthy, drug free youth. Resources shared are meant to be a helpful guide when planning Red Ribbon Week activities.
